A lot of children at Sta. Rosa Concepcion, Tarlac were determined to pursue their studies. However, most of them are not capable or don’t have the ability to do it due to poverty. Sta. Rosa had already elementary school but didn’t have high school yet. That is why Don Jose P. Yumul and Mr. Crisencio Castro, benevolent and philanthropic, initiated to build a high school building in 2011.
It was not an easy process. They needed to undergo a lot of legal purposes to achieve the school they wanted. They seek sponsors and private sectors, and with the help of Honorable Gilberto Teodoro, Former School Principal Miguela Johansson and Benigno S. Aquino National High School (BSANHS) Principal Abelardo P. Corpuz, the school was finally established as an annex of BSANHS.
Since it was established as an annex, the first School Principal was Mr. Abelardo P. Corpuz and the head teacher then was Mr. Christopher Baron. The pioneer students had borrowed teachers from BSANHS.
In 2013, BSANHS annex officially became Sta. Rosa Integrated School. Since Mrs. Miguela H. Johansson was the elementary school principal then, she was assigned to handle the high school department as well.
In 2014 Sta. Rosa Integrated School officially had its own Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE). In the same year, the school had its new principal Mr. Segundo A. Tayag Jr., active enthusiastic and friendly principal. The school also had its very own permanent teachers namely; Mrs. Juna Corazon G. Poblacio, Ms. Christine G. Tiamzon Ms. Rona T. Manabat, Ms. Waywaya T. Soliman, Mr. Job DG. Lucero and Mr. Rafael A. Guillermo III, active and passionate teachers.
In the year 2016, the SRIS-HS has its new school principal named Mrs. Rosalina R. Tiamzon. She focused on the beautification and orderliness of the school creating number of plant boxes. With her strong desire to address the shortage of classrooms and the unending supports of General Parents Teachers Association (GPTA) officers, one instructional room was built.
After the retirement of Mrs. Tiamzon on June 2017, Mr. Job D. Lucero, Teacher-I was designated as Officer In-Charge. Then after a month, a new principal was installed in the person of Mr. Celedonio G. Velasquez, Jr. His time marked the fastest development of the school. These include the installation of window grills in every classroom, the construction of two-storey building and school perimeter fence, the promotion of six (6) teachers from T-I to T-III, the establishment of Senior High School program and the initiation for the conversion of High School to National High School.
At present Sta. Rosa Integrated School-High School Department (SRNHS) was already converted into National High School under the Republic Act No. 11424 with a new installed principal Mr. Joenar H. Baluyut, Ed.D. And it is a home of 391 students whose family is reliant on farming while the others are working in the different establishments and factories located at the nearby Barangay of Sta. Rosa. Furthermore, this school continues to create an unforgettable history that will surely mark in the future.
